Our "Adventure Without Restraint" motto, allows you to pick the time of departure. We call it an “Open Departure” meaning we customize your departure time depending on your previous nights activities, (how late your staying out) the time you need to get back into town, and the amount of time you want to spend at the destination. You’re in control and well rested with our “Open Departure.”
We will be picking you up at your hotel, taking you to our terminal for assignment of your vehicle.
You will be met by one of our Tour Specialist who will provide you with a full orientation of the day’s events and activities. We will supply you with all of the necessary vouchers to redeem your entrance, meal tickets and line passes in an effort to make your day efficient and enjoyable!
Our per person price includes; Transportation to and from your vehicle, Your vehicle for 24 hours, Viewpoints of Big Horn Sheep habitat along the way, Hoover Dam Drive Over both in Nevada and Arizona, Hoover Dam Power plant Guided Tour including audio and video presentations, exhibits, and many more features regarding the Dam. A sightseeing cruise on Lake Mead, the world’s largest man made lake. SELF DRIVE ECO TOURS

Your journey begins as you leave town driving one of our ecologically safe vehicles making your way towards The Hoover Dam. Don’t feel too bad for the folks you drive past in those large tour busses that have a schedule to abide by while their on vacation. Our “Adventure without Restraint” motto will allow you to make as many or as few stops as you need to on your way to The Hoover Dam.
About 30 miles outside of town you will enter Historic Boulder City. This small town of 15,000 built in the 1930’s was built to house the construction workers building The Hoover Dam. The accomplishment of completing this project during this difficult time sent a message to the rest of the country that we will continue to strive and make it through the Great Depression. This in itself is an incredible achievement. There are many souvenir stores, art galleries, and quaint shops you can stop by and visit while traveling through Boulder City.
Your Journey takes you over The Hoover Dam where you will be able to see this incredible 726-foot foundation rock from the roadway to the crest of the dam. You can actually cross the dam, which will take you from Nevada to Arizona with viewpoints on both sides.
Your tour includes a Hoover Dam Power plant Tour. This portion of the tour is guided, as you will be going inside the dam viewing its power turbines and engineering. There will be audio and film presentations, exhibits and other media that provide a view of its operations and features of the site. This portion of the tour takes about 45 minutes. If you choose option A, we recommend you take your Power plant Tour prior to your Cruise. If you choose Option B, we recommend you take your Power plant Tour after your River Raft Trip.

Once you leave the Hoover Dam, your on your way to visit Lake Mead, the largest man made lake in the world. Get ready to board our Mississippi River style Paddlewheel boats cruising the sparkling waters. You will experience a combination of spectacular scenery, good food and unlimited amounts of fun. You will cruise Lake Mead's most scenic points, and your highlight will be the mighty Hoover Dam! You will learn the history of the Colorado River, the formation of the lake and the construction of the dam, which played a large roll in the forming of Lake Mead. Your meal of a Croissant Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich, Asian Chicken Salad, or Veggie Pack is included in your tour and will be served on board. |

This portion of your tour is aboard a motor-assisted raft, which allows the you to enjoy the history, desert wildlife and beauty in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River.
You will be transported on our tour buses to the launch area at the base of the Hoover Dam. This is an extremely rare view of the Hoover Dam that very few people have the opportunity to see. At this time, you will board our large comfortable rafts, which have been carefully constructed, with your safety in mind.
During this excursion, your guide will share with you the history of this magnificent geological area. The high canyon walls will leave you breathless. Be prepared to see Desert Big Horn Sheep, Osprey, and Great Blue Heron in their natural setting. Bring your camera, because it is seldom you will have an opportunity such as this to view the wonders of nature.
Our rafts will stop along the shore to give you a chance to swim or play in the cool clear waters below Hoover Dam. You will be served a packed lunch that we provide, so sit back and take the opportunity to enjoy the box lunch provided while watching and listening to the sights and sounds of this magnificent desert.
Your trip will end on the Arizona side of the river at Willow Beach. Here you will have the chance to shop for distinctive remembrances of your trip before boarding our comfortable tour buses for the return trip over the crest of the Hoover Dam to our office or your Las Vegas hotel. |

After your cruise take a slow ride back to the neon lights of Las Vegas where you are free to enjoy your vehicle for the full 24 hours. Many of our customers return back to their hotel, freshen up and utilize their Eco Friendly vehicle to visit The Fremont Street Experience Downtown Las Vegas. Ask your Tour Specialist for information during your orientation!!!

Included in the per person price is a 24-hour vehicle for you to enjoy, and transportation to and from your vehicle.
We send you on the road with a full orientation that will answer all of your questions, a souvenir nylon cooler bag loaded with your interactive map, a bottle of water for each passenger, some reading material, and a few other treats and surprises.

Hoover Dam Power plant Tour- The best way to learn and appreciate The Hoover Dam. The Guided Power plant Tour includes a combination of audio and video presentations, exhibits and other demonstrations that educate you on the Hoover Dam it massive operations, and many unique features. This guided portion is 45 minutes in duration.
A Packaged Lunch – You will enjoy your lunch while you experience the water portion of your tour. Some examples of lunch are; Croissant Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich, Asian Chicken Sandwich, or Veggie Pack. |

Our River Rafting Tour became a member of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) National Environmental Performance Track Program in October 2004.
Performance Track is a public/private partnership recognizing top environmental performance among participating U.S. facilities of all types, sizes, and complexity, both public and private. Program partners are providing leadership in many areas, including preventing pollution at its source. Currently there are 344 Performance Track Members in the United States.
In 2003, Black Canyon/Willow Beach River Adventures was certified to ISO 14001. Forever Resorts is the first U.S. multi-site hospitality, lodging and marina provider to be certified to ISO 14001:1996 for all its domestic operations. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
The benefits of initiating an EMS in accordance with ISO 14001 standards are many: identifying areas for reduction in energy and other resource consumption; reducing environmental liability and risk; helping maintain consistent compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements; benefiting from regulatory incentives that reward companies showing environmental leadership through certified compliance with internationally recognized EMS standards; preventing pollution and reducing waste; improving community good will; profiting in the market for "green" products and demonstrating commitment to high quality. |
